2020 is the Renfrew Farmers’ Market 50th year! There will be some great celebrations throughout the season, which runs 9 May 2020 to 10 October 2020, every Saturday at the Renfrew Fair Grounds.

2018 is bringing lots of exciting changes to the Renfrew Farmers’ Market!
First of all, we would like to welcome a new chair to our committee. Corrie Horsfield (Owner of Chocoholic, Chocoholic) will be volunteering her time to help run the market as chair this year, along with the rest of the committee. She is taking over from Agnes Walker, who has dedicated hours upon hours of time to help run the Renfrew Farmers’ Market and we would like to thank her for all of her time she has put in over the years. Although Agnes is stepping down from chairing our committee, you will still be able to find all of Agnes’ great pies at the market!
Our second change this year is time of the market. It was voted on at our annual meeting that the times of the market should be changed to 9am-12pm, to better suit our community and the hours when everyone is out and about.
Our market will be starting up on May 12th (Mother’s Day weekend). We very much look forward to seeing our loyal customers and some new faces, too!

had a beautiful sunny day & the Renfrew Farmers’ Market Vendors was very busy & all seemed very pleased with their sales. Our “HARVEST BASKET Draw” was won by Kinga MacAskill of Renfrew. She was so trilled!

Renfrew Farmers’ Market got off with not just a splash but a very soggy morning. Seven vendors came out despite the rainy morning. Surprisingly some faithful customers came along also. I thank the 4 new vendors for coming out & some of our other vendors who came along to visit & welcome the new ones.
It was actually a great opening morning! Everyone was a good sport about it. I’m sure they would have liked to stay home where it was dry & warm.

Well, after what felt like a very long winter, I think we can safely say winter is behind us! And with that, comes a new season of Renfrew Farmers’ Markets. Vendors are getting ready to be out and with some great products again this year. We have a few more new vendors this year, with some unique products not to be missed!
Our 1st market will be May 7th, 2016 from 8:00am – 12:00pm and so far, there will be maple syrup, honey, pies, skin care products, and teas among other products at this first market.
The following weeks in may will see more and more arriving, with bedding plants, tomato and pepper plants, asparagus, rhubarb, lamb and if we’re lucky, salad greens!
There has also been discussion surrounding the construction planned for Veteran’s Memorial Blvd this summer and its’ effects on our market. It was voted on at our annual meeting that since the location seems to be working well for everyone (vendors and customers alike), we would remain at the Fairgrounds until the construction becomes too much of a challenge to navigate getting into the fairgrounds at which time we, as a Market, would decide to relocate elsewhere. For the time being, come out and enjoy some great products, lots of space and parking for all of our customers.
Looking forward to seeing many regular faces we’ve missed over the winter as well as some new faces!
Our application form and rules and regulations are now available on our vendors page. Returning members please have your application and payment in by April 15, 2015. After April 15th there will be a $20.00 late fee added.
New vendors please fill out the application and please either mail it to address on application or forward it to email@example.com for approval. No payment required until you have received your approval from one of the committee members.

MMMM…Here comes the fresh stuff we have been craving all winter long, since the last market last year!!
McGregor’s will be out with fresh Asparagus grown right here in Renfrew!! You can’t beat that!!
Beth’s Kitchen will be featuring some freshly canned Rhubarb Jam (which I had the pleasure of taste testing…..all I can say is mmmmmmm) She will also have some freshly canned Strawberry Rhubarb Jam as well as her yummy Lemon Loaves!
Agnes the Pie Lady, tells me that she will have a limited supply of Rhubarb Pie, so you better come early to grab one of those…..we open at 7am!!!
Pinnacle Haven Farm is starting back this week with their lamb! They are also raising some pigs this year and I believe they are taking orders for halves or quarters or cuts…so be sure to come talk with them…..oh BBQ season is about to hit!!
Reiche Meats will be there with bacon and sausage and I haven’t heard from the Yellow Rose what they will have but I am sure they will have some pickled asparagus, pictures and dried fruit!
Our bakers from Shawville should be back this week with breads and goodies for our customers. We have a new crafter this year and she has some pretty neat looking fairy houses that you have to check out!
This is all I have heard from but there may be more! You will have to stop by tomorrow and check it out !!! Hopefully all this rain will pass and our vendors will have an excellent day!! Till then, take care 🙂
